Easy Street
The irony of the World Poker Tour is that despite allowing its poker players to travel broadly, they spend many of their days in windowless casino rooms, in just a handful of cities. For those who would prefer to actually see the sights, there are roads aplenty in the United States that would make any traveling card shark feel right at home. It’s not surprising that in Vegas there are streets named poker Face Court and Poker Hand Court. But in tiny Scio, Ohio there’s a Poker Road. Antelope, California has a Poker Lane; Cameron, Oklahoma boasts a Poker Bend Road and in Horseshoe Bay, Texas there is a street simply called poker Chip. If you had to live in a town called Hunker, Pennsylvania, you might at least find solace if your house was on Card Lane. Barbecue lovers visiting Louisburg, North Carolina, can drive down Poker Shack Lane while in the gambling town of Show Low, Arizona their main road is the Deuce of Clubs which is not very far from Full House Lane. You might think that it would be had to beat Four Aces Road down in Kyle, Texas, but a visit to Grass Valley, California might change your mind if you happen to wind up on Royal Flush Court.
