Recently I found the book : “Eating and health according to the teaching work of The Master Peter Deunov” . I’ve never red something so simple and so senseful about the man’s everyday healthy needs. Here are some of the most remarkable thoughts of The Master about the way you should eat . Some of these advises sound wired in nowadays, but I thing everyone could find something useful.

“Eat after sun rise and before sun set”

“Too hot and too cold foods are not healthy, especially if you eat them one after another. In that case you will spoil your stomach and your teeth.”

“The hot food helps for the digestion, on the opposite - the cold food retards it.”

“Immediately after eating you must wash your mouth.”

“After you have finished eating you must not put anything in your mouth. Sudden adding of a new food brakes the chemical processes of the digestion.”

“It is extremely dangerous to eat too much or to eat late in the evening, before going to bed. With such a dinner your sleep is not complete, because digestion process is in full speed and together with it work and the rest of your organs - heart, kidneys …”

Who is Peter Deunov.

Peter Deunov (July 12, 1864 - December 27, 1944) also known as Beinsa Duono is the father of the Paneurhithmy.

Born near the Black Sea, he is the son of a Bulgarian Orthodox priest of singular devotion and vision. From 1888 to 1895 he studied medicine and theology in Boston, where he made a remarkable impression on those who knew him. Returning to his own country, he withdrew mainly into the mountains to prepare for his Divine Work.

In 1897 he began his teaching work and in 1898 issued a “Call to My People.” In 1900 he established the “White Brotherhood”, based on Divine Love, Wisdom, Truth, Justice, and Goodness. From then on he travelled throughout the country, teaching and healing, eventually establishing his base in Sofia, where a community gradually grew up around him and regular lectures were given. Annual congresses were held in August and continue to this day in the Rila mountains near the Seven Sacred Lakes.

PanEuRhithmy was gradually given to the hundreds of people who camped there with him, inspired by his teaching and presence.

He passed over on the 27th of December 1944 leaving a following of 40,000 people. Since then his teachings have continued to be practiced, most notably the PanEuRhythmy which was first performed in secret during the following forty-five years of oppression which he had predicted, and now openly and worldwide because of its remarkable life-enhancing qualities and evolutionary potential.

Don’t Allow Your Food To Control You

Food addiction isn’t a problem.
Pretending like you can’t live without eating however, IS the problem. If you’re stranded on a desert island without food, what would you do? Your body can survive well over 24 hours without food if you’re drinking water.

How about if someone offered you 50 million dollars to not eat? How addicted would you be then?

Personally, I’ll be forthright and tell you that I think that it’s utter nonsense to believe that food is addictive. Food is fuel for the body and that’s it. There is no such thing as an “addiction fairy” sprinking his magic dust on a Big Mac so you’re forced to eat it.

In today’s society, doctors have made it easier for people to indulge in self-destructive behaviors by saying they are “addicted” to it.

Personally, I think the people who diagnose these addictions are addicted to “ease of ignorance and influence”. Saying that you’re addicted to lots of food is like Osama Bin Ladin saying he’s addicted to spelunking.

When it comes to eating too much and you feel that you’re gaining weight, remember this:

IT’S ONLY FOOD!!

That’s right! It’s not a ticking time bomb that’s going to self destruct in 5 seconds if you don’t eat it. Anyone in their right mind can easily realize that an inanimate object like an cheeseburger or a snickers bar has no control over you. However, if you do feel it does, then I’m addicted to your brand-new car.

If you know you should be eating better, then simply do it. If you know you shouldn’t be eating a certain type of food, then don’t do it!

All the great tastes and wonderful flavors have been created to entice your taste buds and the food’s emotional appeal. Natural foods don’t need to be “processed”. They provide a filling sensation and a healthy solution on their own.

Oh, and if you’re wondering what’s in the delicious foods you enjoy eating so much, look at the ingredients. If you can pronounce the majority of the ingredients, call me. I’d like to know what they are.

If you’ll notice, most of the foods eaten are the results of hundreds of chemical combinations (some of which aren’t safe for you) which give it that taste that you’re “addicted” to.

It’s only food. Our forefathers who build this great country weren’t addicted to food. But I’m sure you wouldn’t be either if you had to chase your meal, shoot it, skin it, wash it, clean the insides and outsides of it, pluck all the feathers or fur off and so on!

Believe me, if I went through that, I would truly enjoy my meal. I’m sure they weren’t addicted because they were too tired from chasing it!

But if you’re picking up your meal and it’s not clucking, mooing, kicking trying to escape, biting for its life, or growing because of photosynthesis, then it’s not putting up a struggle.

You make the decision to put it in your mouth, chew it, and swallow it. And you can make the decision to put it down anytime you desire.

It’s your choice. It’s fuel for your body. That’s it. It’s not addictive, tasty, wonderful, mouth-watering and all that jazz.

Remember, you have the control. You only have to take action and prove it.

Sugar Consumption Itself Has Become a Disease

Looking into statistics, we can see the average American consumes an astounding 2-3 pounds of sugar each week. What Everybody Ought to Know About Food Additives

Every day we are bombarded with information about food products that are healthy, all natural, have no artificial ingredients, no preservatives, low fat, no fat, no cholesterol, sugar free, vitamin fortified and provide 100% of your daily vitamin requirements. Are these foods as healthy as the advertising tries to make us believe they are?

Let’s look at the facts. There are more than 3000 different chemicals added to our food. The company that wants to produce the chemicals or use the chemicals in the foods they produce usually does the testing for safety. Safety testing has only been done for individual additives, not for combinations of additives. Nobody knows the effects of the many different additives used in the thousands of different combinations. To make matters worse, because of political pressure, the FDA allows manufacturers to add small amounts of cancer-causing substances to our food. So, not only are many of our foods not healthy, they’re unsafe.

The FDA has even approved, as safe, additives it has known to be unsafe. Take, for example, Olestra, the fat substitute which was approved by the FDA over the objections of many leading food scientists. Olestra can cause diarrhea, abdominal cramping and may even contribute to cancer, heart disease and blindness. Foods containing Olestra must have a warning label on the package.

Then there’s the artificial sweetener aspartame, also known as Nutrasweet. Aspartame was approved and claimed safe by a specially appointed FDA Commissioner after his own Board of Inquiry that investigated aspartame claimed it unsafe. Aspartame can cause birth defects, central nervous system disturbances, menstrual difficulties, brain damage in phenylketonurics, seizures, death and a long list of other reactions too numerous to mention. It may cause irreversible health damage over the long term.

Fats are another story. A certain amount of the right kind of fat is necessary for your nervous system, your immune system, the formation of cell membranes, and the absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins. The problem is that over 90% of the food produced today contain hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oil, which contributes to heart disease, elevated cholesterol and triglycerides, non-insulin dependent diabetes and cancer. Research even shows an association between attention deficit disorder and hydrogenated oils.

The next time you grocery shop, look at the label of every item before you buy. Unless you already buy all organic and natural foods, almost every item you pick up will contain hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils. Instead, choose products that say no hydrogenated oils. Use raw organic butter instead of margarine, and extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil or flaxseed oil (flaxseed oil should never be heated).

If you’re eating more chicken, turkey and fish, because it’s healthier, you may be surprised to learn that sliced chicken and turkey from the deli contains nitrites. And nitrites cause cancer. Nitrites are found in almost all processed meats, including luncheon meats, hot dogs, sausages and bacon. Then there’s tuna, a healthy choice if it only contains tuna and water and is only eaten occasionally. But, most tuna contains broth or hydrolyzed vegetable protein, which contain MSG. And MSG is not required to be listed on the label because it is an ingredient in the broth, not directly added to the tuna. This is the way food manufacturers hide MSG in the food they produce. And hidden MSG can be a very serious problem to those who are sensitive to it. MSG can cause a wide variety of symptoms including migraines, numbness and tingling, asthma, seizures, diarrhea, panic attacks and heart problems.

Other sources of hidden MSG include autolyzed yeast, boullion, stock, malt extract, malt flavoring, barley malt, maltodextrin, natural flavors, pectin, seasonings, carrageenan, soy sauce, soy protein, whey protein, anything enzyme modified, fermented, protein fortified, or ultrapasteurized, fast foods, chips, condiments, salad dressings, lunch meats, sausages and soups. In fact, most processed foods contain MSG according to Kathleen Schwartz of the nonprofit group NoMSG.

So, buyer beware! Even if the label says “all natural ingredients” and “no preservatives,” the product could contain harmful additives. So, how do you know which foods are really safe to eat? You need to read the labels and know how to interpret the information on the label.

Here’s a few hints on what to eat and what to avoid: Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, good quality protein and healthy fats. Avoid these additives:

Aspartame or Nutrasweet

Saccharin

MSG and Free Glutamates

Artificial colorings

Nitrites and Nitrates

Caffeine

BHA and BHT

Brominated vegetable oil or BVO

Olestra or Olean

Sulfites

Here’s a general rule of thumb: If the list of ingredients is long, there are probably a lot of chemical additives in the product, and you’re risking your health by eating it. If the list of ingredients is short, it may or may not have harmful additives in it, so you need to read the label carefully before you purchase it.

Multivitamins: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Ideally, humans would eat wholly nutritious diets rich in protein, vitamins and minerals. The fact is, most people do not meet all their nutritional needs through their food. As a result, many of us rely on multivitamins and supplements to achieve more complete nutrition.

No federal regulations

Vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements produced and distributed in the U.S. are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. In fact, if you or I wanted to start selling our own personal brands of vitamins, mineral supplements or similar products, we could do so without anyone, including the FDA, having a say in the matter.

This lack of regulation should sound a warning signal about these products’ contents. Most supplements on the market are basically garbage. While they may contain good-for-you ingredients, they do nothing to bolster your nutrition because your body cannot absorb them.

Nutritional companies spend thousands of dollars marketing their products to convince consumers how great they are. For example, the best-known multivitamin brands found in drug and discount stores are virtually useless. Supplements cannot repair the effects of bad eating

Eating naturally nutritious food is the most important aspect of your diet. The foundation you lay with proper eating habits is far more important than any food supplement you can take. Examine your eating and exercise habits before you consider seeing a doctor for almost any problem.

However, even the best vitamins and supplements available will not propel you to optimal health if you otherwise eat unhealthy food. Say your diet consists mainly of pre-packaged and/or fast foods, but you take your Centrum or One-a-Day, so you talk yourself into thinking you feel fine. Your body knows otherwise, and you may find yourself in big trouble in a few years. All this amounts to is killing yourself slowly.

Why take supplements at all?

Even the most healthful eater might want to consider supplements, due to the lack of nutrients in our soil. Soil in the U.S. slowly has been losing more and more nutrients each year, making our foods less tasty and less nourishing to our bodies.

The single most important health factor is nourishment. If we lack proper nourishment, we will slowly die of disease, obesity and malnutrition. Yes, extremely overweight people are largely malnourished! The way to achieve optimal health is to eat as few calories as possible, while still providing your body with the highest levels of nourishment.

This is where organic food plays a key role. Organic food has been shown to contain 40 percent more nutrients than regular commercially produced food. Add high quality supplements which provide your body with bioavailable vitamins and minerals, and it becomes easy to live a long, healthy life while consuming fewer calories and still obtaining the nutrients you need to function optimally.

What to look for in a supplement

Almost everyone should start off with a multivitamin supplement. Multivitamins work better than taking individual supplements because they provide the body with a combination of all the vitamins a minerals it needs in a single source. The body prefers this delivery method because it can better absorb and utilize them in combination than it can when you take each vitamin and mineral separately.

Other beneficial supplements include antioxidants found in trace minerals, and some specific vitamins and minerals not contained in most multivitamins. Antioxidants contain nutrients to help fight off the oxidative properties in free radicals that cause your body to break down. Taking an antioxidant supplement will keep your body strong and healthy, allowing less breakdown.

Still other important supplements are cod liver oil, fish oil, flax seed oil, and whey or egg protein (sometimes used as a form of meal replacement).

Each individual requires different nutrients and a generic multivitamin certainly can help address these deficiencies. Remember, though, any supplement is still a synthetic and not real food. Experiment until you find a high-quality product that works for you. There are dozens of good products out there, but none is “the best.” Because we’re all unique, no single product can be all things to all people. Specialty vitamin companies do develop personalized products. By performing blood, hair, and saliva work, they determine the necessary ingredients to create the best multivitamin for an individual. As you can imagine, that level of individualized production comes with a hefty price tag.

High-quality general-use supplements are out there. They can be found at the health food store and almost certainly will cost more than the famous name brands. But if you don’t invest in your health first, every other investment in your life will be wasted. Isn’t optimal health worth the cost and effort it takes to purchase quality products?

It might sound cliché, but it’s true: You take care of your body, and your body will take care of you.

Vitamin B12: The Cobalt of the B Vitamins

Vitamin B12 is probably the best known among the B complex vitamins because many people take B12 injections as a treatment for severe pernicious anemia. People who exhibit signs of weakness may be diagnosed with a B12 deficiency and a simple regimen of introducing Vitamin B12 in some other form may greatly help reduce the symptoms. If a true deficiency exists, the person may also have constipation and no appetite, often resulting in weight loss. Natural Cellular Defense: Your First Line of Defense Against “Body Burden”

The phrase “body burden” has been used by scientists to describe the heavy load of chemicals that can be found in the average person - the result of lifelong exposure to industrial chemicals. The above sited study does give us much reason to be concerned and certainly would explain why such a high percentage of the public are suffering today from chronic diseases. The chemicals we cannot process end up accumulating in our bodies and this growing body burden works to poison our tissues and exacerbate, as well as cause, disease.
